Leading researcher from ISSP UL’s Laboratory of Kinetics in Self Organizing Systems, Dr.phys. Anatoli Popov participated in the 11th International Conference on Luminescent Detectors and Transformers of Ionizing Radiation - LUMDETR 2021. The conference took place in Bydgoszcz, Poland from September 12 to September 17, 2021.
The conference provided an interdisciplinary forum for the presentation of the latest developments in basic and applied research in the field of radioluminescence, the processes of energy transfer and storage in solids, the physics and chemistry of luminescent phosphor and scintillation materials, and the related applications.
The scientific program of the LUMDETR 2021 conference included 16 sessions with 32 keynote presentations, 65 oral presentations, and 52 poster presentations.
The conference was organized as a hybrid event, which allowed both onsite (102) and online (47) presentations. Delivered manuscripts, after the review process, are to be published the journal Optical Materials (Elsevier Publ. House).
As a member of International Advisory Committee (IAC), Anatoli Popov also participated in IAC meeting, which took place during the conference. The purpose of the meeting was to elect new members of the IAC committee and listen to Anatoli Popov’s presentation inviting to organize the next LUMDETR conference in Riga in year 2024. After the discussion, it was decided to organize the next conference in Riga and elect Mr. Popov as the new Chairman of the IAC until the end of the next LUMDETR conference in Riga.
