Participating in the ENRIS 2023 conference and EURONANOLAB expert meetings

Head of the ISSP UL’s Infrastructure Department, Dr.phys. Valdis Korsaks participated in the ENRIS 2023 conference and EURONANOLAB expert meetings in Paris-Saclay (France) from 15th to 17th May. The conference was organized by the C2N laboratory – a member of the French network of academic cleanrooms RENATECH – which owns the largest French academic cleanroom.

At the conference, Valdis Korsaks had a poster presentation about ISSP UL’s Nanotechnology Center. He also attended the conference lectures and participated in two EURONANOLAB expert commissions on 1) user training; and 2) data management and equipment database creation.

Benefits of the conference: fruitful discussions about cleanroom infrastructure, especially Cleanroom energy saving, ISO 9001, different cleanroom pricing models and special gas management (risk assessment from user aspects). Valdis Korsaks had the possibility to visit the ISO class 5 cleanroom and facilities and get an introduction to some tools. The knowledge and experience gained during the ENRIS 2023 conference will be used to improve the work of ISSP UL’s Nanotechnology Center.

ENRIS is an international symposium on cleanroom operation, management, and user training organized every two years by the European consortium EURONANOLAB (euronanolab.eu).
