ISSP UL’s researchers seek collaboration opportunities at the University of Tartu

A group of researchers from ISSP UL’s Laboratory of Materials for Energy Harvesting and Storage visited Prof. Alar Janes, University of Tartu, Faculty of Science and Technology, Institute of Chemistry the University of Tartu.
The purpose of the visit was to demonstrate the knowledge and capabilities of ISSP UL’s researchers and get acquainted with Prof. Alar Janes and his group. During the visit, the participants presented the current research at the Laboratory of Energy Harvesting and Storage. Afterward, the facilities at the chemistry building were visited (various laboratories for materials synthesis, characterization of supercapacitors, batteries, solid oxide fuel cells, sputtering, characterization of structure and composition, etc.). This was followed by discussions on possible collaboration.
The ties have been built and strengthened, both sides affirmed the willingness to prepare joint research proposals (EEA-Baltics grants, M-Era.net, or similar). The possibility to use Tartu University’s ToF SIMS equipment was also discussed. Prof. Alar Janes was invited to ISSP UL and expressed willingness to visit ISSP UL later this year.
