ISSP UL researchers gain experience in unlocking the future through harnessing chatbots in their work

On June 26, Peter Nordström from Camart2 consortium partner organization RISE conducted a hybrid workshop, “Harnessing chatbots in our work and research proposals.” Peter Nordström is a scientist and experienced AI user.

The workshop explored the potential, challenges, and best practices associated with using chatbots in the daily work of a researcher. The workshop’s key focus was how chatbots and language models could be utilized for project application writing.

The session dedicated equal time to theory and practical exercises, allowing participants to experiment and share experiences and tips.

The event’s agenda included the technology behind chatbots, their implications for the user, use cases of chatbots’ large language models, and prompt engineering (i.e., how to achieve good results when interacting with language models). During the practical part of the workshop, participants were given tasks on application writing with AI. Later, various risks were analyzed, and some guidelines and best practices were provided.
