Participation in EuroNanoLab steering committee meeting

During EuroNanoLab steering committee meeting held in Tallinn, Estonia, on October 25-26, the steering committee, which also includes the Director of the ISSP UL, Dr. Phys. Andris Anspoks, agreed on strategic directions towards new Horizon Europe applications, as well as the development of dry etching and lithography working groups, internal project applications and development of the unified tool and service catalogue.

During the meeting, the committee also discussed the organization plan for the European Nanofabrication Research Infrastructure Symposium – ENRIS, which will take place in France on May 15-17, 2023.

After the meeting, the ISSP UL’s Director visited clean room facilities in the Laboratory of Thin Films at the Institute of Physics of Tartu University, which is located in the Physicum building. Andris Anspoks discussed future cooperation with the head of the Thin Films Laboratory, Prof. Aile Tamm.

EuroNanoLab is a new distributed research infrastructure consisting of over 40 state-of-the-art academic nanofabrication centres across Europe. Its main vision is to accelerate research in the micro- and nanotechnology sector by enabling the transformation of a fragmented landscape of nanofabrication facilities into an integrated knowledge base supporting scientific excellence and providing researchers a fast-track to results.
