The senior expert from the Materize innovation department Ģirts Ozoliņš participated in European Space Agency (ESA) Industry Space Days (ISD) 2022 in taking place at the ESA headquarters in ESTEC, Noordwijk, the Netherlands from 28th to 29th of September. The ESA ISD 2022 is the main space industry matchmaking event of the year, which gathers more than 1200 space industry players from Europe and abroad.
The main reason for the visit was to participate in the matchmaking to find new potential customers and partners for ISSP UL because one of the directions of ISSP UL is to develop its competencies for the space industry where material sciences and photonics play quite an important role.
During the event the Materize representative had around 20 individual 1-on-1 meetings with various stakeholders of the industry, including large integrators like Airbus Defence and Space, large companies like JX Nippon Mining & Metals Corporation, Kyocera and Boyd Corporation, and SMEs, for example, Mana Electric, Imagine Optic, Satsearch, Cubicure, GMV innovating solutions, LIDAX, CRM group and more.
The aim of the ESA ISD is to identify trends and business opportunities within the space sector and provide an excellent opportunity to hear from ESA and other key stakeholders in the European space industry, showcase products and services, and meet future partners.
