On March 17, the annual Career Day organized by the Riga Technical University will take place. Career Day is the most significant event in Latvia dedicated to student career and internship issues, which will be held for the 20th time.
The main purpose of the event is to inform students of engineering, natural and social sciences about the best and strongest companies in each of the fields, to bring them closer to potential internship providers and employers. The event annually gathers students from all of Latvia’s universities and a wide range of companies from different sectors.
The ISSP UL will have the possibility to introduce the attendees to the work and internship opportunities at the institute, present its versatile research directions and projects, and offer consultations. Career Day is a significant platform to address the students, provide career advice, and answer questions about the required competencies, skills and job specifics.
One of the objectives of the CAMART² project is to attract students – scientists-to-be and to engage them in the development of materials science at the ISSP UL, so the Institute takes every chance to speak to the younger generation and invites them to consider a career at the Institute.
