European Nanofabrication Research Infrastructure Symposium

On June 16-18, ISSP UL Deputy Director for innovation Andris Anspoks, Valdis Korsaks (Cleanroom Development & Maintenance Group) and Gatis Mozoļevskis (Laboratory of Prototyping of Electronic & Photonic Devices) participated in the European Nanofabrication Research Infrastructure Symposium (ENRIS) 2019 in Enschede, Netherlands.

ENRIS 2019 was the 2nd edition of the biannual international conference on clean­room operation, management and user training. This edition was organized by NanoLabNL/EUROnanoLAB and hosted at MESA+ NanoLab, University of Twente, bringin together people experienced in cleanroom operations as well as prominent users of the clean room facilities.

During this visit representatives from ISSP UL attended EuroNanoLab Forum initiative group meetings. 

EuroNanoLab consortium is composed of medium size cleanrooms (500 - 1500 m2) offering a distributed nanofabrication service as Open Access Service for basic research and industry composed of national networks of cleanrooms. ISSP UL is a full member of EuroNanoLab since 2019 when the institute joined in together with a new wave of members from Finland, Estonia, Lithuania, Romania, and Norway. The goal of the consortium is to put EuroNanoLab in European Strategy Forum on Research Infrastructures (ESFRI) roadmap by submitting a joint proposal.
