The leading researcher from the ISSP UL’s Laboratory of Thin Films, Dr. Phys. Boris Polyakov, and ISSP UL’s international projects acquisition specialist Timurs Safiulins participated in the EIT Startup training organized at the University of Tartu. During the three-day seminar, participants learned about EIT’s support activities and examples of good practices in establishing start-ups. They actively participated in workshops, improving their skills in budget planning, knowledge-based product strategy development, and writing business plans. In addition, Boris Polyakov and Timurs Safiuļins participated in a technical visit to the Institute of Physics of the University of Tartu. During the visit, they got acquainted with the laboratories and discussed cooperation opportunities within the HE/EDF program.
The training was important because it allowed participants to learn about the commercialization of innovations, and expand the cooperation network, including with EIT experts, to strengthen the positive image of the ISSP UL as an active cooperation partner.
