In 2019, the ISSP UL has bought a spectroscopic ellipsometer. In order to ensure a proficient analysis of the results obtained during the ellipsometry experiments, Dr. phys. Jeļena Butikova from Laboratory of Spectroscopy, ISSP UL has participated in a technical training seminar called “CompleteEASE course – October 2019” organised by Quantum Design GmbH on October 9-11, 2019, in Darmstadt. After a successful participation, Laboratory of Spectroscopy will be able not just conduct ellipsometry experiments, but also determine optical constants and other values in order to provide characterisation of complex thin films and other samples both for the colleagues at the ISSP UL and external clients.
