ISSP UL Explores Cutting-Edge Possibilities at MEDICA/COMPAMED 2023

Representatives from the ISSP UL Development Department, Ģirts Ozoliņš and Ainārs Ozols, participated in the MEDICA 2023 and COMPAMED 2023 trade fair event, which took place in Dusseldorf, Germany from November 13th to 16th, 2023.

As the largest medical equipment exhibition globally, MEDICA/COMPAMED provided an exceptional platform for the ISSP UL team to immerse themselves in the intricacies of the life sciences field, understand customer challenges, and gain valuable insights into competitors’ offerings. Their primary objective was to explore the potential for developing a microfluidics pilot line at ISSP UL for life science device prototyping.

In parallel, Ainārs Ozols visited the international fair to promote ISSP UL services and activities for microfluidic projects. His agenda encompassed crucial aspects of microfluidic technology, including microfluidic chip services in Europe and Japan, components for microfluidic chips, and the machinery involved in microfluidic chip production, along with their limitations and capabilities.
